ACADEMY FOR MEDIA PRODUCTION

The Academy for Media Production (AMP) is a college-level technical school that offers 6 and 12 month diploma programs in Photography, Video Production and Audio Engineering.
1. Affordable tuition: Compared to most private colleges, AMP's tuition rate is much lower.
2. Advanced training: AMP's curriculum was designed by professional photographers, filmmakers and audio engineers with university experience.
3. The Photo & Video Production double major provides students with 604 clock hours of advanced training.
4. Are you interested in an Associate or Bachelor degree? AMP has partnered with other colleges who accept our credits toward their degree program. Why would you consider this? Simple, instead of waiting until your 4th year in college to take these classes, AMP grads who transfer already have the skills to begin working in the field.

My time at Academy for Media Production started by attending their summer workshop. I learned a lot during the week and it also included a real world experience. After the workshop I knew I wanted to attend AMP. The program allows you to learn all aspects of photography including video. They have a state of the art facility along with great instructors and just about every piece of equipment you need. During my time at AMP I had a lot of real work experiences from photographing Civil War artifacts to working with makeup artists, fashion models and an accomplished fashion photographer. By graduation not only did I have an education, I was prepared to hit the ground running. I had my website set up, banking was ready to go, all my contracts were ready to go, I even had three weddings booked before I graduated thanks to the wedding portfolio I was able to build during Wedding Week. One of the best benefits of AMP, besides your education, is after you graduate, you do not become just another number, the door is always open. The staff is always there to assist you with questions you may have about photography. I graduated from the program over a year ago and I am still able to go back to discuss how to negotiate jobs and contracts! I would highly recommend the Academy for Media Production.
