Act 48 approved workshop for PA licensed teachers. To get credits, instructors must take the Basic, Intermediate & Advanced workshops together.
Summer Photography
In this 4-day course, students will gain a strong understanding of the Photography & Filmmaking process. Participants will learn about:
- Camera: Learn the basic features and the 4 Auto exposure modes
- Manual Exposure: and how to measure light for perfect exposures
- Landscape: Apply basic rules of composition on location
- Still Life: Use hot lights and create a still life photo
- Portrait: How to capture beautiful portraits using natural lighting
- Adobe Lightroom: Learn how to edit using Adobe Lightroom
- Basic scriptwriting
- Camera Stabilization: Tripod vs hand-held shots vs Gimbals
- Audio for Video
- Editing: using DaVinci Resolve 19 Public Beta

SkillsUSA Photography Course (Online)
Bill Chenaille and his wife Carolyn have been running the National SkillsUSA Photography competition since 2001. In this course, students who have competed in the SkillsUSA competition will skip the basics and learn how to turn their photography into stunning images that sell!
The course will meet every Monday & Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm EST for 5 weeks (30 hours). All completing students will receive a Certificate of Completion from AMP. The course will dive deep into the following areas:
- Manual Exposures: We’ll skip the auto modes and concentrate on how to use all of your settings to produce the best quality exposures based on the subject content.
- Focus Modes: So you think you know how to focus your lens? We’ll break it down to use the appropriate focus modes based on the subject your shooting.
- Compositional Techniques: Let’s go beyond simple Rule-of-Thirds and determine how to create images that stop people in their tracks.
- Digital Editing: Let’s get to the advanced functions of Photoshop and create jaw-dropping images.
Dates: Starting Monday July 29 to August 28th.

Basic Photography
In this 1 day workshop, participants will have fun learning basic skills to capture professional looking photos. Through a series of lectures & demonstrations, students will learn:
- Camera body: Learn the basic features and the 4 Auto exposure modes
- Landscape photography: Apply basic rules of composition on location
- Still Life photography: Learn about hot lights and create still life photos
- Editing: Learn workflow and basic adjustments using photo editors

Intermediate Photography
In this 1 day workshop, participants will build upon skills learned in the Basic Workshop and shoot a variety of professional images using manual exposure. Through a series of lectures & demonstrations, students will learn:
- Manual exposure and how to measure light
- HDR & Panoramic photography: how to shoot for the edit
- Portrait photography: How to using natural light
- Adobe Lightroom: Learn intermediate editing skills
Prerequisite: Basic Photography Workshop or proven knowledge

Advanced Photography
In this 1 day workshop, participants are put through their paces to learn advanced studio lighting as they capture portraits and products.
- Flash photography: Learn auto and manual output & how to measure
- Product photography: Learn how to professionally light table top products
- Portrait photography: How to capture studio and location portraits using flash
- Adobe Lightroom: Learn workflow and basic editing skills
