Jim “Pee Wee” Martin meets Susan Eisenhower
On July 26, 2016, AMP students and faculty were invited to produce a documentary of a rare event when Susan Eisenhower invited WWII veteran Jim “Pee Wee” Martin to the Gettysburg. Mr. Martin is one of the last living members of an elite paratrooper division dropped into Normandy the day before the D-Day invasion.
During his visit, he met with Susan Eisenhower (granddaughter of President Eisenhower) for a personal tour of her grandfather’s estate. In addition, Mr. Martin was given an extensive tour of the Gettysburg Museum and Battlefields.
This exciting event gave students at AMP a high-profile, hands-on project that will give them the “experience” that potential clients and employers seek. There project can be seen here:
